I have too much going on in July. The biggest thing is that I'm going to move to New Orleans soon. Although I was buried in packing, I wanted to check out more food spots on my list as I was counting down my days in St. Louis. Ivy Café has been on my list for a long while. I decided to visit this little cute cafe before leaving the Lou.

Even the decors in women restroom are cozy

As a first-timer at Ivy Cafe, I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. My two friends and I decided to brunch there on a workday. Walking in around noon, we found the place pleasantly calm with most tables available. We were seated immediately, greeted by a welcoming and helpful server who introduced us to their tempting menu and guided us through our choices.

The Alamo - jumbo shrimp, guacamole, cucumber, pomegranate, goat cheese, sunflower seeds & bacon crumbles - served on an open-faced toast

The menu at Ivy Cafe is a feast for the eyes, making it a challenge to decide. After some deliberation, we settled on Parmesan Truffle Fries, the Alamo for me, and the Delmar for both of my friends. The Alamo was a standout—deliciously prepared with fresh, well-cooked ingredients, especially the shrimp. The bread was perfectly fresh and crisp, adding to the overall delightful experience.

Everything we ordered for the brunch

In summary, my visit to Ivy Cafe was fantastic. It's an ideal spot for work lunches, catching up with friends, or even a date. However, the parking is a bit tricky. I only found street parking spots in front of the cafe. There might be more parking available nearby, but you will need to study the parking situation before visiting Ivy Cafe. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu offerings!
