If you're looking for a cozy spot for family gathering or girls'/dudes' (yes, dudes can do it too) night, Louie is perfect for you. Louie is located in a DeMun, a lovely neighborhood straddling the the city limits of St. Louis City and Clayton. This neighborhood also hosts other popular food spots, such as Clementine's Creamery and Seedz Cafe.
My friend, D, and I decided to have our semi-annual girls night at Louie. We arrived around 6:30pm without a reservation. The parking situation was better than I thought. There were still a few street parking spots on DeMun. In addition to street parking, Louie offers free parking in the lot situated directly to the south of their building. The restaurant seemed packed when we walked in. However, the hosts worked a way out for us. We were lucky enough to be seated within 10 minutes. I would recommend making a reservation beforehand just to be safe. Reservations may be made online or over the phone (314-300-8188).
After D and I seated, our waitress introduced herself and took us through their menus. Louie offers a variety of options on the menu - all looked great. For me, it was hard to pick a drink and food. Luckily, we had a great waitress - friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. She recommended me a few options for wine. But I went with a cocktail - Rose y Rosie. As someone who doesn't drink often, I thought the drink was tasty but a bit strong/ For food, I eventually picked the pizza Margherita (tomato, mozzarella, basil, and garlic) and was happy with my decision. The pizza was super delicious.
Overall, I had a great time at Louie. I loved everything there - the staff, the atmosphere, the interior, and of course, the food and drink.
